8people, at most
We keep groups small and try to put similar people together. Walking with people who also love the mountains makes the day better and safer, and often ends in friendship.

Questions
Is a guide mandatory in El Chaltén?
On the National Park’s day trails (Laguna de los Tres, Laguna Torre) it is not mandatory. We recommend it because it is an 8–9 hour day, the weather changes fast, there is almost no signal and the guide carries a VHF radio.
How many people per group?
Up to eight. We try to put together people who walk at a similar pace.
What do we eat on the trail?
Bring your own lunch or buy it with us: it is made by the restaurant at Hostería El Puma.
Do the guides speak English?
Yes, our guides are bilingual (Spanish and English).
What does the guide carry on the Huemul Circuit?
Fitz Roy Expediciones provides the tents, food, stoves and radio. You bring your personal technical gear; we send you the list when you book.
